Course Description & Objectives
Introduction:
Self-limiting beliefs are perceptions or convictions about oneself and the world that tend to limit us or hold us back from reaching our potential. An example would be “I cannot do well in my PGP classes because I am weak in mathematics.” This course provides an overview to a variety of self-limiting beliefs that could affect educational training and career motivation. Using various educational and behavioral theories, we will critically examine how individualbeliefs can potentially affect behavior and development. The cases and theories discussed are applicable in management fields widely. Students will assume both learner and leadership roles as they collaborate with each other in a manner that promotes learning. 

Objectives:
The objective of the course is to critically examine various kinds of self-limiting beliefs and discuss how such beliefs can be addressed to regulate short-term and long-term behavior at the individual- and organizational-level. 

Pedagogy
Lecture-based, small- and large-group ctivities, and case-based discussions.
