Course Description & Objectives

Description: The course will cover social movements from around the world which have aimed to bring about social transformation. The larger focus will be on society and its interactions with other entities including corporations and the state. Within this larger focus, the course will specifically focus on transformational movements of the marginalised sections of Indian society. The course will explore the topic using broad three theoretical frameworks, namely, resource mobilisation, political approach and framing perspective.
