Course Description & Objectives
Introduction:
Partnerships and Coalitions is a course based on cooperative game theory. Through a series of in-class games and excel-based simulations, we analyse and understand various dimensions of cooperation between firms.

Objectives:
The ability to negotiate agreements is a crucial quality of a successful manager. Three critical questions that are asked in these situations are
(i) Is it valuable and possible to cooperate?
(ii) If we agree to cooperate, how do we agreeably divide our costs and profits?
(iii) How do we make decisions as a group?

This course will go through various concepts and tools to convert available information into one’s ability to answer the above questions.
