Course Description & Objectives
Objectives:
This course will focus on
(i) Understanding of core supply chain management concepts as applicable to the food sector.
(ii) Enhancing strategic decision-making skills through analysis and integrated perspectives.
Pedagogy
Case Based Approach:
The sessions will be, mainly, in discussion formats. All the participants are expected to read and analyze the prescribed case/readings assigned for the session individually and in groups.
Participants
will be responsible for preparing and submitting a term paper on a topic provided or a topic of their interest in Food Supply Chain Management.
A simulation game
will run (off-class) in parallel to the class-room sessions. This game played by groups requires substantial investment of time. The idea is to apply the learning from the class-room sessions to turnaround fortunes of a company!
