Course Description & Objectives

Objectives: This course uses a seminar format, training students to develop effective research designs - involving quantitative as well as qualitative data - for public policy analysis and formulation. In addition, students learn about critical elements of research such as theory, hypotheses and research questions, literature reviews, and research ethics. This course relies on the analysis of peer reviewed publications across a broad range of social science disciplines relevant to public policy and management research.
