Course Description & Objectives

Objectives:  The advent of fast inexpensive computers has profoundly impacted the way data is analyzed and business decisions are made. In this course we provide a glimpse of some of the modern methods of data analysis. We discuss the techniques along with the simple and elegant statistical principles on which they are based. The advantages of use of these techniques are illustrated by application of some of these techniques to real-life business scenarios and data sets.
