Course Description & Objectives

Objectives: To conceptually understand the tests and elements of negligence and liability. Learn through case studies the application of law on negligence and liability on various business activities and professional engagements.

Pedagogy

The course will use foundational literature to understand the concept and theory of negligence and liability. It will extensively utilize cases from various courts and tribunals in India and abroad for case studies and undertake hypothetical problem-solving exercises. A number of legal case summaries are given as readings. We will also use additional cases to supplement the discussion.
