Course Description & Objectives
Objectives: 
1. Be able to understand the interactions between business and society in managerial decision making and develop solutions accordingly; 
2. Be able to understand different approaches to ethical decision-making and corporate social responsibility and apply these principles in addressing issues facing businesses in a socially responsive manner; 
3. Recognize the global issues that businesses must manage and apply these ideas when preparing business solutions; 
4. Recognize the influence of political environment on businesses and apply these ideas when preparing business solutions
5. Be able to understand the interactions between businesses and natural environment in developing solutions for issues facing businesses;
6. Comprehend the challenges technological change and issues of the natural environment pose for business, and be able to apply new approaches to prepare business responses
7. Identify issues related to stakeholders of businesses and apply these ideas when analyzing business issues

Pedagogy
  • The case method will be extensively used for the course. 
  • This will be supplemented by presentations, videos, experiential, and in class exercises
