Course Description & Objectives
Description:
The course is aimed to enable participants to develop an objective understanding of significant tools/techniques/concepts reported in the literature (Strategy and related areas) since 1985.

The course intents to include a discussion on but not limited to Core Competency (Generic version of resource-based view of a firm) and Capabilities (Process enabled competitive advantage). In addition, the course would deal with three strategy constructs viz. strategy enablers, strategy engines and strategy drivers. By an appropriate fusion of the constructs and the concepts the course attemptsto develop a perspective on competitive strategy.

This course was offered for several years as a PGP-II elective under the title CCCS. The present design has evolved over multiple offerings. In the proposed offering in 2016, the design would be retained. New cases are included and readings are rationalized.
